Summer Day #75

Wednesday, August 1st.

Happy Birthday Kari.

Hello August. I've waited all summer to see you.

I tried painting on an old shirt. It didn't turn out like I wanted.

Took another package to the post office. Picked up lunch on the way back home.

What's for dinner? My S-I-L has posted/pinned a lot of good ideas.
If only I had the ingredients.

Tried the blue lemonade my S-I-L sales from Tastefully Simple. It was ok.

I'm getting a little excited about this weekend. I hope to go watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.

Summer Day #74

Tuesday, July 31st.

It's the end of July.

Waiting on our UPS package to be delivered since 6:24AM.

Today's word is Germane. Synonyms for Germane are: a propos, ad rem, admissible, affiliated, agnate, akin, allied, appertaining, applicable, applying, apposite, appropriate, apropos, avuncular, belonging, closely related, cognate, collateral, congeneric, consanguine, consanguinean, consanguineous, distantly related, enate, foster, german, in point, involving, kindred, material, matrilateral, matrilineal, matroclinous, novercal, of the blood, patrilateral, patrilineal, patroclinous, pertaining, pertinent, related, relevant, sib, sibling, to the point, to the purpose, uterine

Where is that UPS guy?
Should I call the UPS office and tell them their delivery guy has been out for 12 hours.

He showed up. I got stared with my new FuelBand.

I walked the dog.

Good Bye July.

Monday, July 30, 2012

Summer Day #73

Monday, July 30th.

Laundry Day.

Cuckold is the first word I learned today.

Keep up the momentum and play 14 days in a row! DONE! Mission Complete!

Oblique is the second word of the day. However I don't think it was used correctly.

Our Nike FuelBands stopped in Doraville. We'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Big guy came home with my tire patched up. I need to go help him put the spare tire away.

Sunday, July 29, 2012

Summer Day #72

Sunday, July 29th

Alter Server Re-Training/Promotion.
Mass.
Shopping.
Shopping.
Shopping.
Lunch.
Back home.

Ameliorate is the word I learned today.

Saturday, July 28, 2012

Summer Day #71

Saturday, July 28th

Today I watched the show Bones episode The He in the She. In the show the word Catholic was used as all-encompassing/universal correctly.

For lunch we tried Olive Garden at 2pm. It was a bad time. Turns out today was VSU graduation day. And 2pm was when everyone went for dinner. There were not enough breadsticks ready for the crowd they had today.

Back home checking out what HuluPlus has to offer. They carry a few shows from Saturday Morning TV. Such as Godzilla, Dick Tracy, Sabrina, & Voltron. Oh and Mr. Peabody & Sherman. Fat Albert, Casper, Archie, Felix, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Zorro.

That's about it for Saturday.

Friday, July 27, 2012

Summer Day #70

Friday, July 27th.

Let the Games Begin in London.

After reading http://arstechnica.com/business/2012/07/google-fiber-launches-in-kansas-city/
I say Mediacom better step up their game.

Enervate is the word I learned today.

Thursday, July 26, 2012

Summer Day #69

Thursday, July 26th.

Today is the last day for the Summer $1 Movie. Today's show is Short Circuit.

I made it to the Post Office today. I mailed a 34 pound box that should have been mailed two to three months ago.
Then I sent it Parcel Post, so it won't reach it's destination until next week.

Picked up Chick-Fil-A on the way back home.

Started another show on Netflix then came the Thunder and Rain and Power Outages. It's on, it's off, it's on, it can't decide.

I'll pack up another box for Ohio-in-laws.

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Summer Day #64

Saturday, July 21st.

Today may be a very lazy day.

I'd like to go watch the Dark Knight Rises but I saw the length was 2 hours and 45 minutes. I don't think I can sit for that long. I'll wait for DVD and take an intermission.

Yes it has been an extremely lay-a-bout the house day.

Rained in.

Summer Say #57

Saturday, July 14th.

Yard work. Front yard. Or rather tree work. We sawed off three limbs of the Big Oak tree. Only three trips to the dump. We pack that bed good. At one point it looked like we made a bouquet in the back.

A few drizzly drops of rain. A few breezes of wind.

Friday, July 13, 2012

Summer Day #56

Friday, July 13th.
Enjoy the Friday the 13th.
It's Bean 'n' Franks day.
It's French Fries day.
It's Embrace your Geekness day.
It's Free Refresher day at Starbucks.

We made it to our last Dance Camp.
They both received a green participant ribbon.

For dinner they wanted Chick-Fil-A. We didn't know until we approached the Drive-Thru that it was Dress Like A Cow - Get Free Chicken day.

Thursday, July 12, 2012

Summer Day #55

Thursday, July 12th.
It's a birthday for a little cousin. She's not little any more.
Today my boy and I headed out to find some room organizing containers.
This evening we went to the fourth Dance Camp.
It rained again.
Tried the new Bacon Sundae and Texas Whopper from BK. The sundae was ok, and the whopper was less than ok.
Looking forward to tomorrows Refresher day.

Summer Day #54

Wednesday, July 11th.
Yesterday was a slow day.
Every thing was calm until we had to leave for Dance Camp.
Then it started to rain. Rain like pouring down buckets for drops.
Dinner was thawed shrimp cocktail.

Tuesday, July 10, 2012

Summer Day #53

Tuesday, July 10th

It's was Tuesday.
We stayed in this morning. But this evening we went to Dance Camp. I made a quick trip to the BX. Then we went bowling. It was a quick four hours this evening.
I have updated my apps.
I need to go fuel up Scarlet on our next outing.
I learned today that we do get a "Tax Holiday" this year. It will be on August 10 & 11. That's a Friday & Saturday after school starts.

Monday, July 9, 2012

Summer Day #52

Monday, July 9th.

I went a riding on the lawn mower. Then pushed the lawn mower around the edges.
Showered
Went grocery shopping with one little boy.
Brought home lunch for all.
This evening I took the kids to their first Summer Dance Camp. It started nine minutes late. The class dismissed two minutes late. So I'm out seven minutes. Fourteen for two kids. So by my calculations I should be reimbursed $1.96 for today.

The day wrapped up with me picking up take-away for dinner. Upon entering the establishments parking lot I read a sign "Please pull around the building to enter the drive-thru". I did as the polite sign requested. Then a Black Ford Edge driver from Clinch County blocked the entrance because she could not understand the words written in English.

Summer Day #51

Sunday, July 8th.
Sunday was so productive.
I pushed the lawn mower around a little in the back yard while the boys went shopping.
Upon their return we had lunch, take-away. Then went out side to finish up the weekend project, tree pruning.
Down came the low limbs. Down came the dead limbs. Into the truck. Off to the dumb. All done.

Sunday evening was spent thinking up something else to do.

Saturday, July 7, 2012

Summer Day #50

Saturday, July 7th.

I played a few turns of Draw Something. Later I learned I was playing a little boy.
We spent five hours today clearing out, hauling off the limbs we cut out yesterday. We never made it to the second tree. My Jawbone Up registered 9,171 steps today and the days not over.
The other three took the cone back to B.A.R.C at PetSmart.
The night ended with a FaceTime call with the Ohio In-Laws. Somehow I now have work to do.

What will we do tomorrow, mow the lawn or prune the tree?

Friday, July 6, 2012

Summer Day #49

Friday, July 6th

This morning started out early with the new little pat getting his sutures removed. No more cone!
This afternoon the big guy and I pruned a lot of one tree in the back yard. No cleanup. To hot. to exhausted from all that sawing.

This evening we ordered in some papa John's. We will not be reordering the pizza with chicken and tomatoes.

Thursday, July 5, 2012

Summer Days #47 & #48

Wednesday, July 4th & Thursday, July 5th.

I hope everyone had a good and safe Independence day, we survived without Internet.

On Thursday, we headed out to the theater for Spiderman. He is so Amazing!
Later this afternoon I learned a new word. I know the word Ream, that's 500 sheets of Paper. I learned the word Quire, that is 1/20th of a Ream, or 25 sheets of paper.

Tuesday, July 3, 2012

Summer Day #46

Tuesday, July 3rd.

I managed to accomplish three errands this morning before lunch.

We had our fifth week of bowling. Our of eleven teams only 6 1/2 showed up. Due to weather conditions 4 1/2 stayed away.

Looking forward to a five day weekend.

Monday, July 2, 2012

Summer Day #45

Monday, July 2nd.
I had a good morning, mid.
In two hours I left the house, got breakfast for two, found the alternations, got it pinned, got the pickup slip, got a new waste collection permit, shopped at Old Navy & Sam's Club, picked up lunch for one, and got back home.
Since then I washed and dried two loads of laundry. The only reason I stopped at two is because my hip hurts. The kids can do more if they need it.
For dinner we are going fancy. Corn dogs.
Tomorrow is bowling.

Sunday, July 1, 2012

Summer Day #44

Sunday, July 1st.
What a day. I feel like it was so wasteful. I did, however, start off earlier than usual. I headed out and shopped at Winn-Dixie. We needed milk to get the morning started. I took a detour by Daylight Donuts in the way home. Everyone liked that idea. While at Winn-Dixie I also picked up the smallest pack of chicken I could find, a box of Stove Top ( did you know the bread crumbs and seasoning packet were together in one now), and a can of Cream of Chicken. I made a Crock-Pot recipe that is now a keeper. The rest of the day has been fighting with our Internet service or the lack of.
Tomorrow will be a different day. I hope all my destinations are open.

Friday, June 29, 2012

Summer Day #43

Saturday, June 30th.
The last day of June.
It's Meteor Day.
Also there is an extra second tonight.
It's $1 flip flop day at Old Navy.
I with Old Navy would have their $1 flip flop sale before Tropical Smoothie has their Flip Flop for Jetty Punch day or vice versa.
Well no flip flops for us. Evidently we had to be there by 7AM.
Big guy however went looking for a new mini notebook organizer pad. When he did not find one he went walking to find us. Before he found us he stopped in a pet store. Then he had to find me. We all went together to see what he saw. Now we have a new member of the family, Ricky.
I did not get to go finish my shopping for shampoo/conditioner or milk.
Maybe tomorrow before church.

Summer Day #42

Friday, June 29th.
It's the last weekday of June.
Today I made a washer necklace to go with me M-I-L's earring request.
I need to get that packed up and shipped out.
Then I ordered Tastefully Simple from my Consultant Alexandria Snider.
I sprayed the large cookie sheet for my daughter. It's still not dry.
I started a new Words with Friends game. She's kicking my butt.
The big guy wanted Zaxby's for dinner so we tried the new restaurant on the corner of St Augustine and Norman. It was so busy the crew didn't have time for dinning room upkeep. My zalad was good. The milkshakes were not done.
Time for bed. Tomorrow is $1 flip flop day.

Thursday, June 28, 2012

Summer Day #41

Thursday, June 28th.
I was just asked - What kind of birds stick together?
The answer (I did not get) was VelCrow.

We all watched the first Ghostbusters movie from 1984, Pre-PG-13. A group of little kids left after about 2 minutes. I guess their summer day care providers do not use Kids-In-Mind.com before they go to the $1 Summer shows.

We headed up to the Spot/Bowling lanes where I played 3 games all by myself and the boys played 5 games. The bill for 13 games with one pair of shoes was $17.

Now to find an alterations.

Wednesday, June 27, 2012

Summer Day #40

Wednesday, June 27th.
The rain went away.
The sun came out.
We went to the pool.

Summer Day #36

Saturday, June 23rd.
We caught the 11:45AM show of Brave by Pixar in 3D.
We came home afterwards due to upset bellies from buttered popcorn.
Later the girls went out to use some coupons, gift cards, etc.
Lemon Shakers set up a booth out side Pet Smart fundraising for the Humane Society. I got a Strawberry Lemonaide. It was good. Little boy back at home did not like the seeds or pulp.
The boys are making leaps of progress on their MineCraft game. Some of their buildings are impressive.

Saturday, June 23, 2012

Summer Days #34 & #35

Thursday, June 21 & Friday, June 22
The Forth and Fifth (last) day of VBS.
Friday was the longest sunlight day of the year.
We spent Friday afternoon at the pool and got lots more freckles.
Looking forward to Brave.

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Summer Day #33

Wednesday, June 20th.

The third day of VBS is done.
I've started new games of Words with Friends and DrawSomething. Waiting for other player to take his/her turn.

Getting excited about watching the new Pixar film this weekend.

Two more days until the longest daylight day of the year.

Good talk with the man of the house. It's nice when someone concurs with your perspective and relates to you similar background experience.

This evening ended with a Kick-off for VBS.

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #29

Saturday, June 16th.
This morning I headed out for the Church. I thought there was some chores to do before VBS starts next week. It was an unproductive morning.

Back at home I got a computer cart from the boys and unpacked my TinyTaylor to put on it. My big girl wanted to try sewing. I tried showing her then stuck myself with a needle and did not want red spots on her white bag.

Outside I helped our man-of-the-house with some lawn work. I got my Jawbone Up step count to 9,803.

I should go try for two hundred more steps tonight.
Happy Fudge Day.

Friday, June 15, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #28

Friday, June 15th.
Today was Flip-Flop day at Tropical Smoothie. I like Jetta Punch.
Then with the nice non-rain day we spent it at the base outdoor pool.
Friday is done.

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #27

Thursday, June 14th.
Flag Day.
We all attended the 10am showing of Karate Kid (1984) at the theater. They played it in Blu-ray so it looked a lot better than I expected after 28 years.
It rained shortly after we got home so not much yard work.

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Summer Vacation Days #25 & #26

Tuesday, June 12th & Wednesday, June 13th.
Tuesday evening we had our second week of Summer Mixed Adult/Youth Bowling League. We did pretty good. We took Total. Others commented on my teammate improving.
Wednesday we made a Sam's Club run. The Big Guy wants Cotton Candy for tomorrows show. I am almost finished and ready for Sunday. I need to put the letters on a string for the banner. I'll go shopping for a fresh Porterhouse on Saturday after T-shirt sorting.
But before that I need to get through Thursday.

Monday, June 11, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #24

Monday, June 11th.
Laundry day. I did so much laundry I ran out of laundry detergent.
In between loads I wrapped a few items for next Sunday. Debated on giving him the big one so he could use it tomorrow night or wrap it up. I did neither. While at the wrapping paper bucket I had an OCD moment that finished just as he got home from work. Girl and I determined that two items need to go in a bag. Not a box. Our gift bags are all Christmas themed.
So when I get more laundry detergent I'll also get a new gift bag.
Dinner was grilled cheese sandwich and chicken noodle soup thanks to the down pour of rain.
Monday is over. 24 days down. 57 more to go.

Sunday, June 10, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #23

Sunday, June 10th.
It rained today, again.
The others played video game most of the morning.
By afternoon I went and watched Rookie Blue s3, e3.
Then we headed out to go Table Saw browsing.
Back home and watching a Netflix disc. Hopefully someone will get it in the mail tomorrow.

Saturday, June 9, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #22

Saturday, June 9th.
I started this rainy Saturday early at the Church for training.
I returned home to pick up the family. First stop Lunch, ABC Soup. We had a little over an hour to waste so we checked out an Office store. Then popped over to see the remodel of Target. Our final destination was Madagascar 3. It was worth it. This time at the theater I said top row. I saw a lot of kids in the hallway and I am tired of my back being kicked.
That's all.

Friday, June 8, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #21

Friday, June 8th.
Tonight for dinner I tried two recipes from Pintrest. The first was Monkey Bread with Bacon, Peppers, & Cheese, and the second was Chili Mac by Campbell's. Neither one impressed me. I will not be trying them again.

Thursday, June 7, 2012

Summer Vacation Days #19 & #20

Wednesday, June 6th & Thursday, June 7th.
I did it I finally missed a day. I kept telling myself to do it but I missed it.
I guess it was bound to happen while looking for new things to do / make.
Tonight was my VBS Volunteer Introduction. My girl attended as she will be a Pre-K Crew Assistant.
We came home to find the guys boiling eggs to make deviled eggs.
It was late.
Now it is later.

Tuesday, June 5, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #18

Tuesday, June 5th.
I am sore.
We bowled out first week of an eight week league today. I forgot how much my thumb and shoulder hurt afterwards.
I am very surprised that the games we bowl in this league go toward the B.O.W.L. drawing.
This morning started off regular at 0dark30. I got three sets of cuff-links glued. They should be ready tomorrow. I need to make some small Oragami boxes out of Baer paint sample cards.
I might make myself one matching washer necklace.
The little boy got a much needed over-due haircut today. This time he almost looks like Tintin. The Beauticians at Moody Beauty Salon know what they are doing. I have never gone to the same Salon for as long as I have here.
The hubby picked up two more disc sets today. Guess who had to enter them into the inventory. Not him, Me.
Next I am having to wait for Netflix to load up today's DVD releases into their availability queue.
Good-night.

Monday, June 4, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #17

Monday, June 4th,
It was a Monday. Laundry day.
I got some work done on a Father's Day card and banner.
After washing our new purple shirts I got three iron-ons on them. I'll finish them in the morning. I have to. They are our bowling shirts and tomorrow is our first bowling night.
I found Doctor Who season 6 Christmas Special 2011 on Netflix and I got to watch it.
Good night.

Sunday, June 3, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #16

Sunday, June 3rd.
Another day.
I know sometimes I don't type in complete sentences. It sounds right in my head.
By 1pm the big guy says let go to Waffle House. So ok we went to Waffle House. We finished all that we ordered. And no one got a tummy ache.
My 3/3 sister finally realized I have an iPhone and use iMessage. She had to inform me that that is the only way she communicates with sisters 1/3 & 2/3. How nice, I thought to myself, that every one makes the choice to ignore me and leave me out of the communication loop. It's not like my husband and I are untechy. We have our own family web page. He has a family business page. I got invited to the county school tech committee. I almost went into it about not yet receiving the item our late mother said would be returned to me. But it's Sunday, it's summer time, I have to stay in relaxed mode.
My girl played the Thor movie this afternoon. After wards I learned that the actor playing Thor has a brother playing a character in the Hunger Games.
I got invited to play Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga by my 9 yr old son. We got more pieces in the fourth door.
Then I sent him to go do some reading so we can document that on the scholastic summer reading website.
Looking forward to reading articles about E3 2012 this week.
Now it's back to sleep time.

Friday, June 1, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #15

Saturday, June 2nd.
It was a Saturday. A big morning Saturday. Hair appointments at 0900. Shopping until 1330. Lunch from Fazoli's drive-thru. Got home in time to intercede the FedEx delivery before the man of the house opened his fathers day gift. Helped iron on the freezer paper after the big guy cut it out with the new xacto blade refill I picked up. Then blotted after he painted bleach on the uncovered parts. Tried the sharpie and alcohol on the girl's white shirt. It did not schemer like the video on Steve Spangler's experiment. Had some Xbox time before the Internet went out. Oh yeah, the slow yesterday was the off today. It felt like we did so much today but I'm writing so little.

Almost forgot, Happy Rocky Road Day.

Summer Vacation Day #14

Friday, June 1st.
Two weeks down.
This Friday the Moody Bowling Lanes started the Three Months of Bowl Often Win Large.
I made more entries into the Ruthrauff.net/media inventory.
Mostly Books, Cookbooks and Spring Book Fair books. Then a few Super DVDs.
I did shower today. I wonder what's for dinner.
I finished listening to the Hatfields & McCoys on History.com. Being able to view it is not so easy with our *****y Internet provider.
After a quick boil of angel hair pasta and skillet heated frozen shrimp scampi I am trying to enjoy the first episode of the second season of Melissa & Joey on the ABC Family iPad app. But again with the "slow or unreliable network connection" it won't stay on and in focus.
The hubby says he plans on going my bleach shirt project. I printed out all the shapes for him to cut out of freezer paper. I re-reminded him I have a hair appointment in the morning. So I predict the shirt will not be done by the time I get home. I even plan to take a shopping trip to five other stores tomorrow.
We'll see.

Thursday, May 31, 2012

Summer Vacation Day #13

Thursday, May 31st.
Good-bye May.
Today started out late, really late. We'll be up late tonight.
I read a blog today.
http://ninetenthscrazy.blogspot.com/?m=1
There was an update yesterday.
She is not sounding very well inspired.
I had assumed she would have blogged about having her M-I-L move into her basement.
Or since the city school calendar says the elementary school had its Field Day she would have mentioned that.
Or I would expect to hear about her college registration, as she finished her GED last summer.
I have a hard time getting a good read on people.

I got off the laptop surfing and got onto the craft table.
My son donated two red Lego bricks for his dad's cuff link gift.

I made another washer necklace, this one in purple and gold for the M-I-L.
I feel safe blogging about my surprises as no one reads this blog. I mean no one.

I spent the rest of the afternoon surfing for more projects to add to my list. I did manage to print out a page of iPhone icons for a card idea.
I did find that I am out of blue card stock.

On this day in 1859 Big Ben started operation in London.

At 8:30PM I got real hungry for a big bowl of pasta, maybe I have some penne in the cupboard.

I found the three episodes if the Hatfields & McCoys mini-series on the History Channel website. My hubby hooked the laptop up to the TV.

Summer Vacation Day #12

Wednesday, May 30th.
I'll be quick because it's 18 minutes 'til midnight.
We did actually do something today. We left the house for lunch and dined at IHOP. Then we headed up to the base. The predicted thunder storm showers were no where insight. So to the pool we go. A rather enjoyable two hours we had. Pool closed at 6PM. A 6:30PM meeting I had at the Bowling Lanes. We will be bowling in a league for the next eight weeks.
Now I'm going to watch an episode of Bramwell and then to sleep.

Summer Vacation Day #11

Tuesday, May 29th.
Today was another rained in day so no pool. I washed up all the dishes. Washed one boy blanket. Made three bracelets for the girl.
Learned a little about the End-of-the-Middle-Ages and the Beginning of the Renaissance in 1453.
That's it for Tuesday.

Summer Vacation Day #10

Monday, May 28th aka Memorial Day (45th) and Hamburger day.
I woke up to the sound of someone making herself some breakfast. It was the sleepy-head of the house. She wanted to go swimming today but due to a wonderful tropical storm off the Atlantic we were rained out or in.
We did go out to the SPOT for free bowling & shoes. 3 out of 4 got Chick-Fil-A on the way there. 1 out of 4 got a personal cheese pizza at the snack bar.
The kids got 2 turns in the laser maze each.
I got new shoe covers as a surprise by my Hubby. Thanks big bunches.
Back at home, the kids are finishing up the movie series, Iron Man 2.
I found 15 free games for the Kindle. I emailed the link to me in-laws. I don't know if they like it or not. I rarely get a response, in a timely manner that I can even remember what I sent.
http://thefrugalgirls.com/2011/12/free-kindle-games-list.html
Next I need to go to me laptop, get to Amazon and send the free games to me Kindle.
I hope you and yours had a safe holiday weekend. Tomorrow I have to get the bread-winner of the house up and out of the house in the early morning. Then I can start conducting some Father's Day gift making, or at least go shopping for the last few needed items.

Summer Vacation Day Number 9

Sunday, May 27th.
It was Sunday but we did not get to Church today.
I event sent an iMessage to me M-I-L to see if she wanted to play a game today and there was no response.
I've been playing Words with Friends with one opponent that doesn't like to chat.
The day for me was with dishes and garden tub cleaning.
The other three household members caught up on some super hero movies such as the Incredible Hulk (2) and Iron Man (1).
I am ending my day with an episode of Bramwell.

Summer Vacation Day Number 8

Saturday, May 26th.
Deja'vu.
It was a Saturday (again).
We started out with a late morning rise.
Skipped breakfast.

Eventually we headed out for a Sam's Club run. (low on soda).
Before we reached our intended destination I had to stop for Lunch. Fazoli's was the agreed upon choice.
The Big Guy of the House took inventory of our super hero DVD selection and concluded we were missing four movies. So he wanted to head out and see what was on the shelf to get today. He found all four at Sam's Club (no endorsement).
While we were next door to Walmart I said I need to find a dropper for another summer project. He dropped me off with my little girl and we walked out with six items. Three items are for a desk craft project. A white shirt to go with the dropper. A big blue shirt for my bleach project.
Upon returning home they watched Spider-man 2 & 3. I got lost in my email links.
At 8:21PM I quit. OK I'll play one more word on Words with Friends and then that's it.

Summer Vacation Day Number Seven

Friday, May 25th.
It's Friday. It is Friday. Not Saturday. It feels like a Saturday.
The plan was to sleep in. I did not follow the plan. I went to the big room and started watching Documentaries on Netflix Instant Streaming. If you are one of the 36 that follow me on Get Glue you already knew that.
By noon I was hungry and no one wanted to leave the house. I went down to Winn-Dixie and picked up some substance. Returned home and cooked.
After a Pre-Memorial weekend meal I felt like a nap (because I didn't sleep in) but did not nap. I returned to watching documentaries. Maybe it's the voice of David Attenborough that make me feel smarter. I'll use the word smarter.
I didn't think I did enough to make a post today but here it is.

Summer Vacation Day Number 6

Thursday, May 24th.
Day number six with the kids and I'm still holding out and going strong.
We have a four day weekend starting tomorrow. Today we have spent some time thinking of what to do. We mostly decided of where not to go.
I managed one load of laundry today (for the man) before heading out. My big girl and I had a Hobby Lobby list that we needed to fill. Then I headed over to ... the mall ... to pick up a special order. It fits! Yeah me! Next we headed up to the base with my old blue 8 pound bowling ball. The guy, Paul, said he would be at the Bowling Lanes for about an hour starting at 1630 today. I am having the holes plugged and re-drilled to fit my daughters hand/grip. We are looking into a Mixed Adult/Youth Bowling League for eight weeks of June & July.
While at the Spot we ordered one large pizza with half pepperoni and three drink cups. Our fourth person was not answering his phone lines as previously agreed. He eventually showed up. He got one slice. The kids enjoyed an assortment of games from Foosball to Laser Maze. Now we are all back home. Girl has been searching for some new apps for photo editing. Boys are at the pc games. I am entering my sixth day summer vacation blog.

Summer Vacation Day Number 5

Wednesday, May 23rd.
What a day!
Bike repair, bike ride before 1030.
Arts & Crafts, working on Father's Day, Birthdays, and Christmas.
Laundry, cleaned the inside of the washer drum.
Movie at home with the kids, Jumanji was the pick.
Now I'm craving a Bloomin' Onion for dinner.

Summer Vacation Day Number 4

Did you think I almost forgot a day?
We got up this morning and got ready to go have lunch with the big guy.
(By the way, Today's Special was Beef Bulgogi over steamed rice, kim chi)
Then a little trip through the BX, and a short trip in the Commissary.
One stop at the USPS to mail out a book to an in-law. Back home, entering more into our media list. No thought on dinner. We'll wing it later. Oh Wings, that's an idea.

Summer Vacation Day Number 3

Monday 21 May.
Today I have to type up my daily blog early because I get my annual eye exam today which means my eyes will be dilated for the rest of the day and I won't be able to focus on typing anything later.

Sunday, May 20, 2012

Summer Vacation Day Two

Sunday 20 May.
It's Sunday so we'll be at Church today.
Then we will do a little Push Mower window shopping/browsing.
I'll end up washing a load of laundry or two before the day is over.
Hallmark Holiday's says it's Pick Strawberries Day but I doubt we'll get up to do that, (unless picking strawberries in the produce section of the grocery store counts).

Summer Vacation Day Number One

Saturday 19 May

What to do today. Get up late just because it's Saturday and that's the one day we have to catch up on the sleep we missed during the week.

Later today maybe some yard work. Definitely a garbage/recycle dump run. Dishes and laundry.

Maybe end the day with a family board game if two others can stay off their pc game.

But most of all Have Fun on the First Day of Summer Vacation!

Minus One and a Half Day Left

That's right I only have to set my alarm for school one more time.  Then I'll have to set the alarm for other things during the Summer Vacation Break.
One thing on my mind that I'll share is about reading the codes inside the red coca-cola bottle caps. I found putting the cap upside down on my iPhone backside up with the light on will help me read the letters and numbers inside the cap.
[There was one more thing but my old memory can only recall so much at one time.
I'll remember it later and include it tomorrow.]

Minus Nine Days and Counting

As of Today, Thursday, May 10th, we have five and a half school days left before summer vacation starts.
Tomorrow, Friday, May 11th, the First and Second Grade Students that reached the AR Goal for their grade will have a fun day on inflatable bouncy blow-ups.  All Media Center items should be checked back in.  Inventory will begin.  Hopefully the school and the county will complete this year without any major bangs, booms, or ca-plows.

Minus Eleven Days and Counting

As of Tuesday, May 8, 2012 we have 11 more school days until Summer Vacation.
